This powerful message confronts one of the most pervasive struggles in Christian life: financial stress and its spiritual roots. The sermon draws from 2 Kings 4:1-7, the story of the widow whose husband died, leaving her in debt and facing the loss of her children to creditors. Her crisis becomes a mirror for our own financial struggles. What's revolutionary here is the connection made between our financial stress and our spiritual obedience—particularly in the areas of giving, sowing, and saving. The statistics are sobering: 85% of Christians don't tithe, 93% don't have a budget, and 83% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. But rather than condemnation, we're offered a pathway to freedom through three simple principles: Give to God first, Sow into others' lives, and Save intentionally. The widow's story reveals that even in our deepest lack, God is asking, 'What do you have in your house?'
